Interview with an Educator & Digital Wellbeing Advocate
🎙️ 51st Enolončnica – Briza Bohne 🇺🇸
In our latest episode, we welcomed back Briza Bohne, educator and digital wellbeing advocate, for a second conversation on a topic that concerns many families today: teen digital wellbeing.
🌍 Building on her experience working with young people and living across cultures, Briza shared a simple but powerful idea:
👉 It’s not just about screen time — it’s about the life around the screen.
💬 During the program, we explored:
- Why young people need more than limits — they need relationships, responsibility, and real-world experiences
- How growth comes from doing, effort, and even boredom
- Why what adults model matters, often more than what they say
💛 For parents and caregivers, the message was clear:
You don’t need to be perfect — showing up and trying already makes a difference. Small, consistent steps at home can shape a healthier environment for everyone.
🌱 A simple shift we discussed:
Instead of asking “How do we reduce screen time?”
→ try asking “What are we building more of in daily life?”
🔧 Briza also shared practical tools and resources around digital wellbeing, offering realistic and encouraging ways to approach this topic — not through restriction, but through balance and awareness.
- Lights On Learning (understanding disengagement & how to respond)
- LiveMore ScreenLess (digital wellbeing & balanced tech use)
- Digital Wellbeing Toolkit (Listen, Limit, Lead, Love)
- Smarter Start Toolkit (introducing devices)
- Smartphone Free Childhood (parent community & support)
